Lightning Soccer Club has competitive league teams, Premier League teams,
and recreational training programs
Our Mission
Lightning Soccer Club is geared for all kids with good physical health, and a desire to learn the Beautiful Game (soccer). We will work with any child regardless of skill level. Through dedicated training and encouragement, we will help develop each individual player to their optimal level. All players will get play time in every game in which they participate. We believe that soccer is a fun game and children should enjoy playing.
Our Philosophy
Lightning Soccer Club believes that creativity and skill are being lost in the average children's soccer environment.
There is much more to soccer than kicking the ball and running. We want players to be able to control the ball, and not vice versa. There is a level of spontaneous thinking and decision making that we encourage to keep the game exciting and enjoyable for the players and the spectators.
In order to successfully transition from recreational play to competitive play, players need to learn their strengths and find the position that will make them an asset to their team as a whole. Unlike recreational soccer which is geared towards exposure, competitive soccer players need to be coach-able. We will teach players to learn proper formation, and the appropriate position the coaches feel best suits the team. Offensive and defensive positions are equally important. There is no esteemed position in soccer. The key is to find a player's strength and use them in the position that will lead to personal and team wide success.
